Splunk Platform SME and DevOps engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Splunk Platform SME and DevOps engineer for a Contract with a client in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate will support the deployment and optimization of Splunk in a Kubernetes-based, air-gapped environment by adapting operator manifests, tuning resources, and validating platform health. Rate Range: $53/Hour to $68/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Splunk Platform SME and DevOps engineer Responsibilities include:

• Deploy and configure Splunk Enterprise components, including Indexers, Search Heads, and Forwarders in Kubernetes environments.
• Adapt and maintain Splunk Kubernetes Operator manifests and Custom Resources for air-gapped deployments.
• Tune Splunk resource allocations, limits, and requests to optimize performance across GKE nodes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to stateful workloads, persistent volume claims, and Splunk configurations.
• Validate platform health, monitor system stability, and ensure successful application deployments.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to support Splunk platform scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 6-8 years of experience administering and supporting Splunk and Kubernetes-based environments.
• Strong expertise with Splunk Enterprise architecture, including Indexers, Search Heads, Forwarders, and Splunk Kubernetes Operator.
• Hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting stateful applications, persistent volume claims, and Kubernetes workloads.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $68.00 per hour
