Senior Security Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Security Engineer for a Contract with a client in Raleigh, NC (Remote). This role is responsible for monitoring data access, investigating security threats, and enforcing least-privilege access controls across Windows-based environments. Rate Range: $55/Hour to $60/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior Security Engineer Responsibilities include:

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Netwrix Auditor and Stealthbits solutions across enterprise environments.
• Monitor and analyze data access activities across Active Directory, file servers, and cloud platforms to identify security risks.
• Investigate anomalous behavior, privilege escalations, and unauthorized data access incidents.
• Generate and maintain audit reports to support GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to remediate excessive permissions and enforce least privilege access controls.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate security monitoring, reporting, and remediation processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in Identity & Access Management, Cybersecurity, or Windows Infrastructure environments.
• Hands-on experience administering and supporting Netwrix Auditor and Stealthbits security solutions.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, Windows Servers, and access governance frameworks.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
