Project Manager

Akkodis is seeking a Project Manager for a Contract job with a client in Terrace, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading projects from initiation through completion while ensuring delivery within scope, budget, schedule, and quality expectations. Rate Range: $75/hour to $80/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Project Manager job responsibilities include:

• Lead and manage projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
• Develop comprehensive project plans that define scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, deliverables, resource requirements, and project schedules.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams to ensure successful execution of project objectives and business requirements.
• Monitor project performance, track progress against established milestones, and proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and expenditures to ensure projects remain within approved financial parameters.
• Communicate project status, key milestones, risks, and issues to stakeholders, leadership teams, and executive management.
• Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, planning sessions, and stakeholder discussions to drive alignment and project success.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, business leaders, vendors, and external partners.
• Ensure projects meet quality standards, compliance requirements, and organizational expectations.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
• Proven experience managing medium to large-scale projects from initiation through successful completion.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, frameworks, governance practices, and lifecycle management processes.
• Experience developing project schedules, resource plans, budgets, risk assessments, and stakeholder communication plans.
• Strong experience managing project risks, issues, dependencies, and corrective action plans.
• Experience preparing executive-level reports, presentations, dashboards, and project metrics.
• Proficiency with project management software and tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading enterprise business, technology, operations, or transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
• Experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, and third-party project resources.
• Familiarity with project portfolio management, program management, and PMO governance practices.
• Experience implementing process improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication capabilities.

Pay Details: $75.00 to $80.00 per hour
