Oracle DBA

Akkodis is seeking an Oracle DBA for a Contract with a client in Sunnyvale, CA/ Austin TX. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing Oracle database environments, including upgrades, migrations, patching, and performance tuning across enterprise systems. Rate Range: $55/Hour to $60/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Oracle DBA Responsibilities include:

• Administer, maintain, and support Oracle 18c/19c databases across IBM AIX, Linux, and Solaris environments.
• Perform database upgrades, migrations, PSU patching, and rolling upgrades to ensure system stability and compliance.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Oracle RAC and ASM environments while maintaining high availability.
• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning solutions to optimize system efficiency.
• Support GoldenGate implementations, replication processes, and disaster recovery initiatives.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to deliver database support for ongoing projects and production environments.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator in enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise with Oracle 18c/19c, RAC, ASM, GoldenGate, database upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning.
• Experience supporting Oracle databases on IBM AIX, Linux, and Solaris UNIX platforms.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
