Continuous Improvement Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer for a Contract with a client in Plymouth, MN. The ideal candidate will support continuous improvement initiatives and analyze manufacturing processes to drive operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics. Rate Range: $35/Hour to $36/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Continuous Improvement Engineer Responsibilities include:

• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
• Analyze manufacturing processes, material flow, and operational metrics to identify optimization opportunities.
• Conduct root cause analyses and assists with implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Facilitate Lean Manufacturing activities, including 5S, Kaizen events, visual management, and standard work practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve process consistency, documentation, and performance reporting.
• Support facility layout, capacity planning, and material flow improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, industrial engineering, or continuous improvement.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, process improvement methodologies, and data analysis techniques.
• Experience with root cause analysis, 5S, Kaizen, visual management, and standard work practices.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $36.00 per hour
