Job Description
Title: Sr. Linux System Administrator Location: Merrifield, VA
DURATION: 7 MONTHS
Description The client seeks a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to manage a shipping laboratory environment
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of Linux system management experience (OS, Networking, monitoring, etc
- Hardware maintenance (problem identification, remote card reader, component swap outs, and I Installations
- Familiarity with scanning technology
- Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical ‐ Will
- Interact withheld when problems are reported.
- Needs to be able to describe problems for team resolution. Will write test procedures for new functionality and verifying bug fixes
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with shell programming (bash and korn shell) and/or C/C++/Java
- Demonstrated ability to lead others and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
