Spectral Integration Engineer (Expert-Level)

Mission Intelligence Group is seeking an Expert-Level Spectral Integration Engineer to lead the integration and deployment of advanced spectral exploitation capabilities supporting the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG). This position plays a critical role in enabling Image Scientists to process, analyze, and exploit both literal and non-literal datasets through a modern spectral exploitation environment. The ideal candidate brings deep systems integration expertise, strong knowledge of NGA and NRO mission environments, and experience delivering complex enterprise solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid architectures.

Your Role

As a Spectral Integration Engineer, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor and integration lead responsible for establishing and maintaining an integrated spectral exploitation environment within the broader NSG TCPED Enterprise. You will collaborate with systems engineers, developers, and image scientists to ensure mission systems operate seamlessly across the enterprise, delivering reliable end-to-end GEOINT capabilities that support operational users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the integration and deployment of spectral exploitation environments supporting Image Scientists and GEOINT mission workflows.
  • Provide expert technical guidance on strategy, architectures, capability development, and enterprise integration initiatives.
  • Translate mission needs and customer requirements into technical solutions and system capability requirements.
  • Conduct systems integration activities across complex system-of-systems and service-oriented architectures.
  • Analyze and trace user requirements, workflows, architectures, and technical dependencies to improve mission performance.
  • Support technical planning, project execution, risk management, performance engineering, and interface design activities.
  • Ensure interoperability between spectral exploitation applications, tools, and enterprise systems.
  • Integrate cloud-based technologies and services into mission-critical operational environments.
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders, developers, engineers, and image scientists to deliver mission-focused capabilities.
  • Maintain the integrity and effectiveness of enterprise-level spectral exploitation solutions across the NSG and related organizations.

  • Cloud, on-premises, or hybrid infrastructures

• Minimum of 5 years of NGA program or project experience

• Experience integrating spectral data into spectral exploitation tools.

• Experience integrating solutions utilizing cloud-based technologies.

• Strong understanding of the Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC).

• Demonstrated knowledge of current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprise environments.

• Previous Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) program experience.

Desired Qualifications

•

Master's degree or higher in:

  • Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Imagery Analysis
  • Related STEM discipline
