After-School Program 1:1 Paraeducator

Job Description:

The After-School Childcare Program at Clarendon Elementary School seeks a 1:1 paraeducator to provide direct support to an identified student in order to meet the needs resulting from a disability, in order to ensure that the child has access to and participation within the program. The hours of the position are from 3:15-5:15pm, Monday through Friday, on days when school is in session. The position will include all necessary training that is needed to ensure the candidate's ability to provide safe and responsive care to the student. The hourly pay rate for this position is $28.00 per hour, to be paid every (2) weeks as per the district's regular payroll schedule.

Requirements for Applicants:

1. Must complete the required fingerprinting process set forth by the District.
2. Must pass a criminal record check and any other background check processes required by the District.
3. Must be proficient at completing basic mathematical calculations as well as utilizing basic reading/writing skills necessary to comprehend and follow a variety of written instructions.
4. Must demonstrate clear, effective, and responsive communication skills through all verbal, nonverbal, and written means.
5. Must complete all district-mandated onboarding, training, and orientation requirements within timelines specified by the District upon hire.
