The ideal candidate brings strong bookkeeping fundamentals, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of key financial processes while supporting a growing business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records, record transactions, and ensure accounting information remains organized and up to date.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, track payments, monitor outstanding balances, and maintain vendor and customer records.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial transactions, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, expense reports, and financial summaries for management.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Expense Tracking: Monitor expenditures, categorize transactions, and assist with budgeting and expense management.
  • Payroll Support: Assist with payroll-related accounting, recordkeeping, and reconciliations as needed.
  • Month-End Closing: Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Recordkeeping & Compliance: Maintain organized financial documentation and support audits, tax preparation, and other reporting requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with leadership and other departments to support efficient financial operations.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or similar platforms.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with financial spreadsheets.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize effectively, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting accounting operations for a growing, multi-location organization.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting, budgeting, and month-end closing procedures.
  • Experience identifying opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
