Medical Coding Specialist

Midwest Eye Care is looking for a Medical Coding Specialist at our location at 13500 California Street in Omaha, NE.

Full-time, Monday - Friday

8-hour days

In this role YOU will:

• Accurately code and/or verify codes used for clinical charges and diagnosis
• Insure accurate coding and entry of surgical charges
• Audit and give feedback for quality of the documentation contained in the record
• Complete insurance follow-up

Outstanding candidates will have:

• Have experience coding using CPT coding.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 diagnosis coding.
• Certification as a Medical Biller or Coder preferred.
• The ability to navigate in EMR system
• This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma/GED
• Ability to sit for extended periods of the work day.

Offered Candidates will need to do the following before first day:

• Successfully complete a background check which includes an education verification and employment credit check
• Successfully complete drug testing.
