• The Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning (WDLL) Department of Middlesex College invites applications for a part-time, non-credit Kitchen Assistant to support the following culinary instruction program:
• Kitchen Assistant

Important:

Please note that a non-credit Kitchen Assistant is not an adjunct position. Successful candidates teach courses in the WDLL Department.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Preps all ingredients as per the recipes. This may include, cleaning all produce, knife skills, weighing, portioning, precook, and cleaning.
• Secures equipment for instructor and participants.
• Sets tables for guest as needed. Sets up and greets guest.
• Cleans and stores equipment.
• Secures the kitchen at the end of class.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three years of experience as a chef
• ServSafe® certification
• Excellent knife skills
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment
• Organizational Skills
• Great Interpersonal Skills

Please include day, evening, and/or Saturday availability in your application. WDLL is current seeking Kitchen Assistant to assist in-person either during the day or the evening at the Edison campus.
