Original job description

Overview

Azure DevOps (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/devops) is a suite of modern development services that enables software development teams to plan smarter, collaborate more effectively, and deliver faster with high-quality results. It offers cloud-hosted private Git repos, proven agile work tracking system, comprehensive CI/CD capabilities, and robust testing tools to empower millions of developers to build innovative software seamlessly.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - CoreAI to join our Core Services team based in the United States. This team is responsible for ensuring Azure DevOps can scale to meet the growing demands of our customers while also going after “big rock” opportunities that span the service. A major part of this role will be focused on scaling out Azure DevOps + GitHub scenarios. This is a unique opportunity where you will contribute across both codebases to build solutions that delight customers.

As a team, we are interested in engineers who are self-driven with a positive can-do attitude, who enjoy writing clean and elegant code and are excited about providing support to the customers. We believe AI is fundamentally disrupting how software gets built, and we're hiring engineers who share that conviction and curiosity. If you're already experimenting with the latest LLM-powered tools and excited to explore uncharted territory in developer productivity, we want to talk to you!

Troubleshooting of complex issues through the entire tech stack including frontend and database layers.
Participate in on-call rotations with your team. Triage and respond to issues and advocate for opportunities to improve service health.
Mentor, pair, participate in code reviews, and delegate work to encourage the professional and technical growth of those around you.
