Req ID:

JR115577 Senior Manager, Progressive Build

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

The Progressive Build team leads the integration of complex construction, facility startup, commissioning, and operational readiness activities for advanced manufacturing facilities. We work across construction, Facilities, Manufacturing, Operations, contractors, and technical teams to safely transition facilities from construction through production readiness.

The Senior Manager, Progressive Build – Construction will provide senior leadership for Progressive Build execution, ensuring FAB construction and facility turnover are aligned to manufacturing startup requirements. This leader will own integrated readiness strategy, drive accountability across multiple organizations, anticipate and resolve critical constraints, and provide clear visibility to leadership on schedule, risk, and operational readiness. The role will also champion practical adoption of AI and digital tools to improve planning, decision-making, project visibility, and execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Progressive Build strategy and execution, establishing integrated construction, commissioning, turnover, tool-install readiness, startup, and operational milestones aligned with factory production needs
  • Serve as the accountable leader for FAB readiness, maintaining visibility to scope, schedule, budget, critical path, risks, constraints, and recovery actions while leading executive readiness and issue-resolution reviews
  • Integrate Base Build, facilities, tool installation, commissioning, Manufacturing, Operations, LSS, contractors, and other stakeholders to remove barriers and deliver safe, high-quality facility turnover
  • Own building-level integrated schedules and readiness plans, driving pull planning, milestone accountability, risk mitigation, schedule recovery, and validation of staffing, training, procedures, systems, and ownership before startup
  • Champion safety, quality, field leadership, and digital innovation, including the adoption of AI-enabled tools that improve decision-making, automate routine workflows, strengthen project visibility, and support long-term operational reliability

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience leading large, complex projects within semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, data center, pharmaceutical, or comparable industrial construction environments
  • Experience integrating construction, startup, commissioning, facility turnover, and operational readiness activities
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and aligning contractors, designers, Facilities, Manufacturing, Operations, and other project stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage integrated schedules, critical-path risks, milestone performance, and recovery plans in complex project environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading Progressive Build, phased turnover, or manufacturing-driven construction execution within a large-scale FAB or advanced manufacturing environment
  • Experience driving construction and facility readiness around tool-install, startup, and production milestones rather than traditional substantial-completion milestones
  • Experience developing executive-level readiness scorecards, risk and constraint reporting, integrated recovery plans, and operational readiness assessments
  • Experience leading through complex stakeholder environments and resolving issues requiring senior or executive-level alignment
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in adopting AI, including agentic AI and digital workflow tools, to improve construction planning, project controls, risk identification, reporting, and execution
