Engineering Manager

Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Engineering Manager is responsible for the daily operation of a specific business unit within the Engineering Department. Supervises and leads the engineering team responsible for developing, deploying, and supporting manufacturing processes, while driving process and product quality. Responsible for evaluating customer drawings, models, and specifications to determine the most efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes. This includes providing technical leadership to improve safety, quality, and on-time delivery while reducing product cost and risk.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage, supervise, and develop the engineering team based on organizational goals, budget considerations, and staffing needs

Work with internal and external customers to identify and resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment, and process design

·

Oversee all process and program development from qualification through to production

·

Create goals for engineering team based on leadership directives

·

Promote communication regarding customer requirements with all appropriate internal and external personnel and manage the resolution of escalated customer issues, if any

·

Monitor and improve productivity while meeting all customer commitments in a timely, quality and cost-conscious manner

·

Be a key technology leader across the company, demonstrating strong communication and influencing skills

·

Collaborate with the Director of Engineering and other facilities to ensure consistent and effective deployment and execution of engineering processes

Oversee the quoting process to ensure on-time completion of requests for quote that are in accordance with company guidelines and policies
