Drive projects through early research and development and/or full development cycle, from early concept and prototyping through to validation and mass production, ensuring alignment with program strategy and execution
Take responsibility for the engineering craft of your projects. Actively seek ways to improve components, systems, and processes, and champion best practices in design, analysis, and validation
Push state-of-the-art technologies and approaches to solve complex mechanical problems in consumer electronics, robotics, infrastructure, and research

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and/or equivalent industry experience
6+ years of industry experience in mechanical design, with demonstrated track record of shipping high‑volume commercial products and/or designing complex electromechanical assemblies in a research/prototype environment
Demonstrated experience leading the design of complex assemblies and systems from concept to production
Expertise in 3D/2D CAD, DFM/DFA, GD&T, material properties, and high-volume manufacturing techniques
Proven experience providing technical mentorship and guiding the work of other engineers
Experience contributing to product or technology roadmaps and influencing program-level strategy

Preferred Qualifications:

8+ years of product design and development experience of handheld and/or wearable high-volume consumer electronics, including complex subsystems and/or full systems ownership
Experience with NX CAD
Experience with highly cosmetic products and working with Industrial Design
Professional working proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is preferred working with external partners
Experience designing for human factors
Experience designing and shipping products with Asia-based supply chains
MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering

Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

Public Compensation:

$144,000/year to $204,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
