Original job description

Summary:

Do you want to work on one of the largest and most dynamic networks in the world - that serves as the backbone for AI data centers? Do you want the opportunity to lead a team working at the intersection of cutting-edge engineering and capital investments - driving clarity and execution across complex, high-impact digital infrastructure projects. Supporting and deploying one of the world's largest fiber networks. If you are a strategic operator who can manage competing priorities and deliver results in dynamic environments and wants to influence how the world connects at scale, this role offers broad scope, visibility, and global impact. We are seeking a Network Fiber Delivery Manager to help shape, operationalize, and scale our global network investments portfolio. You will lead the delivery of Meta's Americas terrestrial fiber infrastructure portfolio supporting data center connectivity. You will own delivery outcomes from approved plan through construction, testing, acceptance, and in-service handover, leading internal delivery professionals and a scalable network of third-party program-management and fiber-delivery partners. You will lead an internal team and external delivery partners, align commitments across Engineering, Planning, Sourcing, Finance, Systems, and Operations, and resolve portfolio-level dependencies and escalations. You will also sponsor systems, data, automation, and appropriately validated AI-enabled workflows that improve forecast reliability, quality, cycle time, and organizational leverage. This is an ideal role for a structured thinker and hands-on leader who can navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and drive results in highly cross-functional environments and is passionate about building both the vision and the systems needed to realize it. In this role, you will set portfolio strategy, build and develop a high-performing team, strengthen organizational capability, scale execution, influence senior stakeholders, and balance near-term delivery with long-term transformation.

Required Skills:

Set strategy and own outcomes for the Americas terrestrial fiber portfolio, translating capacity and investment priorities into executable plans while balancing delivery, commercial, quality, risk, and long-term objectives
Build and lead a high-performing, adaptable organization
develop leaders and experienced talent, evolve team capabilities, and take on adjacent delivery, contracting, or investment responsibilities as priorities change
Shape supplier and contracting strategy with Sourcing, Legal, and Finance, including scope allocation, commercial incentives, risk allocation, performance obligations, and remedies
Establish portfolio governance and performance standards, use data to steer resources and priorities, and drive recovery when critical-path outcomes are at risk
Set quality, safety, technical-acceptance, and handover standards with Engineering, holding leaders and partners accountable for systemic compliance and corrective action
Sponsor systems, data, automation, and AI transformation that increases organizational leverage, predictive insight, delivery speed, and quality
Define the end-to-end operating model across internal teams, external PM firms, carriers, construction suppliers, and adjacent functions, with clear accountabilities, decision rights, and interfaces
Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership, proactively surfacing gaps, risks, and opportunities
align cross-functional and external stakeholders, frame tradeoffs, and communicate decision-ready recommendations through investment memos, strategic updates, and partnership evaluations
Travel up to 30% of time
greater if remote

Minimum Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in operations, project management, technical project management, data center or network infrastructure program/project management and outside plant fiber construction
3+ years of formal people-management experience leading technical delivery teams, including talent decisions, coaching, development, delegation, and performance management
Experience with fiber optic infrastructure design, construction, and delivery processes
Track record of leading complex cross-functional initiatives, particularly in large-scale, technical, or regulated environments
Prior experience working in digital infrastructure - such as fiber optic networks, subsea cable systems, terrestrial connectivity, or hyperscale data center network builds
Working technical judgment across OSP construction methods, permitting and easement dependencies, splicing and testing, acceptance evidence, asset documentation, and operational handover
Experience managing third-party project-management firms, contractors, vendors, or a scaled contingent workforce through clear scopes, performance measures, governance, and corrective action
Experience partnering with systems or product teams to improve delivery tools, workflows, data quality, reporting, and adoption
Familiarity with North America's fiber markets, connectivity business models, and infrastructure lifecycle management
Experience communicating project status, risks, and recommendations in writing and in presentations to technical and executive stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:
