Shift Supervisor

Position: Direct Support Professional Location: Crafton , PA Pay Rate: Earn 20.50 per hr . 22.50 per hr enhanced pay option

Shifts available: prn

Formulates, organizes and conducts training programs, orientation of new staff and management training.

Develops effective working schedules and staff coverage for their shift.

Supervises and coordinates daily routine.

Assists in the development of policies and procedures with regard to shift routines.

Works with Program Lead, Program Manager and Assistant Manager to direct, coordinate and discipline staff to ensure adherence to facility policies and ICF/IDD regulations.

Maintains accurate records pertinent to their area; i.e. staff Attendance Charts, in-service training, etc.

Maintains supplies, office supplies, forms and records, etc.

Assists staff with resident supervision and care.

Assists staff and Apartment management to ensure the effective operation of residential areas.

Works closely with other departments to ensure the needs of the residents are met.

Is flexible with regard to their work schedule.

Assist with conducting fire drills, checking smoke detectors and pull stations weekly.

Assists with interviewing applicants.

Reviews staff development and performance evaluations, makes recommendations for staff promotions.

Makes frequent inspections of the facility and monitors overall operations.

Enforces and advises the Director of Program about any concerns or problems.

Performs related work as required.

A four-year college degree or prior work experience with individuals with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities in a similar setting is required, or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
