Substitute Teachers

Job Summary We are seeking dedicated and adaptable individuals to join our team as substitute teachers.. This seasonal position is ideal for those who are passionate about education and enjoy working with students in a dynamic classroom environment. Substitute teachers will step in for full-time educators during their absence, ensuring that students continue to receive quality instruction and support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans effectively and engage students in the learning process.
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Manage classroom behavior and enforce school policies and procedures.
• Provide support to students with varying learning needs and adapt instruction as necessary.
• Communicate with school staff regarding student progress and any issues that arise during the school day.
• Supervise students during breaks and transitions between classes.
• Complete necessary administrative tasks, such as attendance reports and behavior logs.
• Collaborate with other substitute teachers and school personnel to ensure a cohesive educational experience.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is preferred.

• Valid teaching certification or substitute teaching permit, CLICK HERE for directions on applying for a Three year Substitute license as well as training programs
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Flexibility and adaptability to various classroom environments and teaching styles.
• Ability to manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational experience for all students.
• Availability to work on short notice and during the school year as needed.
