Job Summary: The Hardware Sales Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting customers with selecting hardware, lawn and garden, paint, and related products. This position supports daily store operations through merchandising, inventory management, stocking, and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist customers in locating products, answering questions, and providing product recommendations based on their needs.
• Promote and generate sales of hardware, lawn and garden, paint, and related products.
• Provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Merchandise products and create attractive, organized displays to promote sales.
• Assist with ordering products and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
• Stock shelves, price merchandise, and organize products throughout the store.
• Operate cash registers and process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming sales environment.
• Monitor product availability and assist with inventory counts and restocking as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations.

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:

• Previous retail, hardware, or customer service experience preferred.
• General knowledge of hardware, lawn and garden, paint, and related retail products preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to listen to customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Ability to operate a cash register, computer, calculator, and other basic retail equipment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with customers and team members.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to complete tasks efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
