Ground Control Crew Member

Grounds Control Crew Member Monday - Friday – 6am to 4:30pm Pay Range: $27.17, with an underground differential of $0.40 an hour Are you someone who likes to work with others? Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Grounds Control Crew Member at the underground mine operations in Randolph, Missouri.

Essential Functions

• Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Work in a team environment
• Clean work areas
• Proper wear of personal protective equipment
• Notify supervisors of repairs needed
• Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements
• Perform duties with minimum supervision
• Capable of lifting 60 pounds

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position and will require 40+ hours per week. Preferred Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations
• Effective verbal communication
• Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance

Physical Abilities

• Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
• General physical activities including climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling materials.
