Software Engineers

MarketAxess Corporation seeks Software Engineers in New York, NY. Duties: Own feature development end-to-end; contribute across SDLC phases. Design components/services within established architecture patterns. Troubleshoot issues; improve operational reliability. Partner cross-functionally; present solutions and trade-offs. Improve workflows and practices; adopt new tools. Review peer code; apply coding standards consistently. Expand test coverage; ensure reliability through testing. Monitor and improve performance and reliability.Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field plus 3 years of experience as a software engineer or a related occupation. In the alternative, employer will accept a Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field plus 1 year of experience as a software engineer or a related occupation. Requires at least 1 year of professional experience in each of the following: (1) Software development using KSql, KStreams and Kafka connectors; (2) Java microservices using Spring Boot; (3) NoSql in MongoDB Atlas; (4) Container Orchestration including Kubernetes or EKS; (5) Container technologies including Docker; (6) Service Monitoring using at least one of the following: Prometheus, Grafana or Datadog; (7) Source control management using GIT; (8) Communication/Messaging protocols including at least one of the following: FIX, HL7, NCPDP, SWIFT, or REST; (9) Working in one of the following development methodology environments: SAFe, Kanban, DevOps, or Agile/Scrum.Telecommuting on a hybrid schedule permitted within commuting distance of the New York office.40 hours/week, $137,717- $165,000 per year.
