F&B Supervisor

SUMMARY The Food & Beverage Supervisor supports the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing daily operations across Margaritaville Hotel Nashville's vibrant outlets, including JWB Grill, our signature upscale-casual restaurant featuring chef-driven coastal cuisine, Southern-inspired dishes, and classic Cheeseburgers in Paradise, and Fins Bar & Rooftop, a high-volume rooftop destination featuring beach-bar vibes, skyline views, live music, and tropical boat drinks. This role helps ensure every outlet delivers the signature Margaritaville experience: relaxed, welcoming, fun, and service-driven, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service. As a visible, hands-on leader, the Food & Beverage Supervisor will train, supervise, schedule, and coach team members, maintain a strong presence on the floor, engage directly with guests, and support daily operational and financial goals. The ideal candidate is an experienced hospitality professional who can confidently navigate multiple service styles, from elevated restaurant dining to high-volume rooftop service, while keeping the "no worries" island spirit alive in downtown Nashville.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Previous supervisory or management experience in Food & Beverage operations is required.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of hotel or restaurant Food & Beverage experience preferred.
• Strong experience in high-volume restaurant, bar, and/or rooftop lounge environments highly preferred.
• Current TABC certification required.
• Previous hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas preferred: bartender, server, barista, or host.
• Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment while balancing multiple priorities.
• Flexible availability is required, including mid-shifts, evening shifts, late-night closings (approximately 1:00–2:00 AM), weekends, and holidays. Weekend availability is a must.

• Ensure service standards reflect both the elevated hospitality of JWB Grill and the energetic social atmosphere of Fins Bar & Rooftop.
• Train and empower team members to deliver personalized, memorable "Fins Up" moments for every guest.

Financial & Operational Performance

• Assist in managing multi-outlet labor costs and operational expenses.
• Adjust staffing and inventory to align with seasonal demand, hotel occupancy, arena and concert events, weather-driven rooftop traffic, and local Nashville happenings.
• Ensure proper cash handling and strict adherence to internal audit controls.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and cost-control initiatives.
• Monitor business levels and staffing needs to support efficient operations without compromising the guest experience.

People & Team Development

• Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-energy team culture that reflects Margaritaville's "License to Chill" values.
• Assist with recruiting, training, scheduling, and developing team members across multiple service styles.
• Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to support associate performance and professional development.
• Reinforce elevated service and presentation standards at JWB Grill, fast-paced bar execution and tropical cocktail craftsmanship at Fins, and speed and consistency across other applicable service areas.
• Ensure team members maintain required safety training and certifications.

Quality, Safety, & Brand Standards

• Uphold consistent food, beverage, and service standards across all outlets.
• Maintain excellent health inspection results and rigorous sanitation practices.
• Oversee beverage quality, including craft cocktails, beer, wine selections, and the overall beverage program.
• Ensure rooftop operations meet safety standards, particularly during peak-volume periods and live entertainment.
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance as needed.
• Ensure all outlets maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation consistent with Margaritaville brand expectations.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership and operational support across JWB Grill and Fins Bar & Rooftop.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all positions, including restaurant service, high-volume bar operations, rooftop service, and coffee/barista standards.
• Ensure a consistent, memorable guest experience across multiple service formats.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and cost controls for all outlets.
• Enforce associate appearance and grooming standards that reflect the fun, polished Margaritaville brand image.
• Monitor and control labor costs while aligning staffing with forecasted business levels.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety across all operational areas.
• Support restaurant setup, service execution, and billing procedures.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism, creativity, and the signature Margaritaville "no worries" attitude.
• Step into operational roles as needed during peak periods to support the team.
• Assist with rooftop programming and high-volume event execution, including live music and special events.
• Attend required meetings and provide regular updates to the Food & Beverage Manager and hotel leadership team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
