General Manager – McDonald’s
Lake City, FL | $60,000–$65,000 + 10% Bonus
Ready to lead a high-volume McDonald’s restaurant? A newly launched, well-capitalized McDonald’s franchise organization in Northeast Florida is hiring an experienced General Manager for its Lake City location. Supported by a seasoned investor-operator, McDonald’s proven systems, and a local leadership team, the company is building its restaurant leadership bench from the ground up, and this is a chance to be part of it from the start.
As General Manager, you’ll lead a restaurant doing $3.5M–$7M in annual sales, with a growth target of $4M+. Reporting to the Area Supervisor, you’ll own profitability, McDonald’s QSC standards, and the development of your entire team. This is a hands-on, on-the-floor leadership role in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Your Role
- Run the restaurant: lead daily operations, sales, and profitability across every daypart while upholding McDonald’s QSC and brand standards
- Control food cost: direct prep, inventory counts, and truck orders, track waste accurately, and bring Food-over-Base to an efficient, sustainable level
- Manage labor: build smart schedules, position the team for volume, and motivate crew and managers to protect labor cost without sacrificing speed or service
- Maintain the facility: stay on top of preventative maintenance schedules and equipment upkeep so the restaurant runs without interruption
- Build the team: recruit, develop, and retain shift and department managers to create a strong leadership bench
- Exceed standards: keep every area of store management at or above McDonald’s expectations
What We’re Looking For
- McDonald’s General Manager experience (required)
- Strong command of food cost, including prep, inventory, truck orders, waste tracking, and Food-over-Base management
- Proven ability to hit labor targets through effective scheduling, positioning, and crew and manager development
- Working knowledge of restaurant maintenance schedules and equipment
- A track record of meeting or exceeding McDonald’s QSC and operational standards
- Hamburger University and ServSafe certification preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary of $60,000–$65,000
- 10% bonus tied to sales, food cost, and labor performance
- Medical, dental, and vision through McDonald’s benefits platform
- Complimentary shift meals
- Archways to Opportunity education program
- Hamburger University leadership development
One note: the description lists store volume as both $3.6–7M (header) and $3.5–7M (body). I used $3.5M–$7M; swap it if the client confirms the other figure.
