Job Title: Sr. Data Engineer

Location: Denver or Dallas

Pay Range: $88-95/hour, based on experience

What's the Job?

  • Design, build, and optimize scalable Databricks data pipelines, workflows, and production-grade data solutions.
  • Own technical delivery as an experienced individual contributor - ramp quickly and contribute immediately to ongoing initiatives.
  • Support cloud migration efforts and data platform modernization, working with the client’s cloud environment and tooling.
  • Orchestrate and manage data workflows using Airflow, ensuring dependable scheduling, monitoring, and execution.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform, supporting multi-environment deployments and repeatable releases.

What's Needed?

  • Strong, hands-on Databricks experience at a senior level (data pipelines, workflows, and end-to-end engineering ownership).
  • Proficiency with Python, Spark, and SQL, including performance tuning and troubleshooting for production workloads.
  • Experience with cloud migration and data platform transitions (AWS to GCP preferred, but the client’s current cloud is acceptable).
  • Working knowledge of Airflow orchestration and how to build reliable, observable pipeline workflows.
  • Terraform experience for Infrastructure as Code, plus familiarity with CI/CD and deployment automation practices.

What's in it for me?

  • Opportunity to drive meaningful cloud migration and modern data engineering work as a senior individual contributor.
  • Clear expectations for ownership - deliver solutions with minimal guidance and collaborate across engineering and platform teams.
  • Hands-on work across Databricks, Spark, SQL, Airflow, Terraform, and CI/CD practices.
