Quality Engineer

Our client, in Jackson, MN is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be part of the supplier management supporting the plant. The ideal candidate will be bi-lingual with english and spanish, have good communication and analytical skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Jackson, MN

Pay Range: $43/hour

What’s the Job?

Long term contract with possible future conversion opportunity for the right candidate fit

Bilingual in English and Spanish Required

Support production through data-driven problem solving, defect reduction, and process capability analysis to ensure consistent product quality.

Lead quality efforts during new product introductions, including planning, risk assessment, and validation to ensure smooth transitions to manufacturing.

Manage supplier quality by conducting audits, evaluating incoming materials, and driving corrective actions for continuous improvement.

Improve field quality by analysing warranty and service data, identifying systemic issues, and implementing long-term corrective actions with cross-functional teams.

Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal standards through documentation, audits, and use of quality tools like FMEA, SPC, and 8D.

Self motivator with excellent communication and problem-solving skills; certifications like CQE, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing are a plus.

Your Required Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

Supplier Quality experience, ability to read prints and SAP required.

Over 2 years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems like ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.

Skilled in quality tools, statistical analysis, ERP, and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
