Maintenance Technician - Taneytown, MD

Pay: $20.00 per hour - OT pay over 40 hrs and weekends

Job Type: Full-time (on-site) with permanent opportunity - Dayshift

Our client is hiring a dependable Maintenance Technician to support continuous operations in a biosecure agricultural environment. This role ensures equipment reliability, facility upkeep, and compliance with strict biosecurity standards.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair mechanical systems (HVAC, water, feed, sewer)
• Perform facility and grounds maintenance
• Follow biosecurity protocols and SOPs
• Assist with equipment cleaning, feed delivery, and general operations
• Participate in on-call rotation for alarms

Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Experience in maintenance, agriculture, or manufacturing preferred
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain records

Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Willing to work weekends/on-call as needed
• Comfortable in physically demanding, agricultural environments
• Physically able to pass Pulmonary Function Test, Respirator Fit Test and Physical Pre-Placement Test.
