Original job description

Our client is seeking an AI Developer Solutions Engineer to join their team in Charlotte, North Carolina . As an AI Developer Solutions Engineer , you will work directly with engineers to understand real workflows, identify high-impact use cases, and deploy Devin/Windsurf into production environments. You’ll lead demos and pilots, support integrations, and drive adoption of the Cognition platform from the inside out.

Job Title:AI Developer Solutions Engineer/Customer Solutions Engineer

Location: Remote

Pay Range: $60 - 70/hr on w2

This role is a customer-facing technical engineering position where you'll work directly with software engineering teams to deploy, integrate, troubleshoot, and drive adoption of Devin and Windsurf in production environments. You'll own the entire customer lifecycle, lead technical demos and pilots, solve complex implementation challenges, gather product feedback, and partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to improve the platform.

Must-have skills: Devin or Windsurf. Strong software engineering fundamentals, experience with Python and/or TypeScript , debugging and integrating software systems, customer-facing communication skills, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments. Ideal candidates often come from Solutions Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering, Technical Consulting, Implementation Engineering, or Customer Success Engineering backgrounds.

What's the Job?

Own technical aspects of the customer lifecycle - from deployment through activation - so customers are successful using Devin
Partner with customers to understand technical challenges and identify the best use cases where Devin can deliver measurable productivity
Build strong relationships with customer engineering teams to ensure smooth product integration and adoption, activating top users and driving utilization
Lead demos, pilots, and iterative improvements by listening to customer feedback and advocating for customer needs
Use product instincts to help shape the roadmap by acting as a “customer oracle” and translating insights into actionable direction

What's Needed?

Strong engineering foundation from a rigorous technical environment
Demonstrated track record of exceptional performance in academic, professional, entrepreneurial, or other high-performance settings
Self-directed execution mindset - able to prioritize and move forward without constant direction
Strong communication skills to collaborate with senior engineers and executives
Willingness to travel 25 to 50% and operate effectively in ambiguous, high-intensity environments

What's in it for me?

Opportunity to work hands-on with engineers and deploy AI solutions into real production environments
Direct impact on customer success through adoption, integration support, and lifecycle ownership
Fast-paced, problem-solving work where you can take ownership and make judgment calls
Exposure to multiple clients and contexts, helping you stay ahead of issues before they become blockers
A role built around customer empathy, technical curiosity, and exploratory rigor

Upon completion of waiting period consultants are eligible for:

Medical and Prescription Drug Plans
Dental Plan
Vision Plan
Health Savings Account
Health Flexible Spending Account
Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account
Supplemental Life Insurance
Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurance
Business Travel Insurance
401(k), Plus Match
Weekly Pay
