Shop assistant part time

Our client, Manufacturing is seeking a Shop assistant part time to join their team. As a Shop assistant part time, you will be part of the Production team supporting the Mold Shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a safety-first mindset, and the drive to learn and contribute to daily shop operations. Job Title: Shop assistant part time Location: Fairfield, IA Pay Range: $20 Shift: Day shift What's the Job?

• Help with polishing molds and drilling vents to support production readiness.
• Assist mold makers with general shop tasks, including sweeping metal chips from CNC machines, taking out the garbage, and sweeping out the sand blasting room.
• Check in inventory, break down boxes and pallets, and prep molds for delivery.
• Deliver molds to customers within a 2 mile radius of the shop; must have a valid driver’s license.
• Utilize a forklift to unload and load deliveries as needed. What's Needed?
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Self-motivated team player who can make decisions, communicate effectively, and problem solve.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to frequently walk, kneel, squat, climb, bend, stoop, and twist. What's in it for me?
