Machine Operator

Our client is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team in Altavista, VA. As a Machine Operator, you will be part of the production team supporting Leak Test Operations. If you’re someone who enjoys hands-on work, can follow detailed procedures, and takes pride in quality, this role is a great fit. You’ll operate complex, computer-controlled leak test equipment to meet defined quality and production goals. Job Title: Machine Operator Location: Altavista, VA Pay Range:$14.00 an hour Shift: 2nd Shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.) What's the Job?

• Operate complex computer-controlled, automated leak test equipment to meet defined quality and production goals.
• Start up and verify proper operation of the machine before production runs.
• Collect SPC (Statistical Process Control) data and respond appropriately to critical machine faults or out-of-spec conditions.
• Replenish components during assembly/leak test operations and manage reusable packaging.
• Maintain accurate, consistent execution of leak test processes - this position is strictly Leak Test, not an assembly operator role. What's Needed?
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in machine operation, inspection, or industrial production environments.
• Familiarity with computer-controlled equipment and the ability to follow operating procedures.
• Ability to interpret SPC data and take appropriate action when critical aspects indicate issues.
• Self-directed work style with the ability to stay focused while equipment is running.
• Physical ability to lift 35 lbs. and maneuver heavier materials with assistance, including extensive operator movement during operation. What's in it for me?
