General Operator

Our client, an agricultural manufacturing and seed production organization is seeking a General Operator to join their team. As a General Operator, you will be part of the production and warehouse operations team supporting day-to-day work that helps maintain safety, quality, and reliable inventory flow. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, dependable attendance, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures while working in a fast-paced environment. Job Title: General Operator Location: Switz City, IN Pay Range: Between $19,50/hr and $23,50/hr depending on the shift you prefer Shift: 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift available What's the Job?

• Use standard operating procedures (Work Instructions/SOP) to maintain safety and quality while performing daily production, packaging, and warehouse tasks.
• Support seasonal responsibilities across the year, including seed packaging, inventory staging, cleaning/5S, and plant upkeep.
• Perform warehouse activities such as label/tag/bag/palletize seed, enter inventory information into a computer, and stage seed for shipment.
• Assist with packaging operations by bagging, palletizing, and supporting trained equipment use while tracking material inventory.
• During peak periods, help with retagging, re-bagging returned seed, inspecting and washing pro boxes, and supporting box wash processes as assigned. What's Needed?
• Ability to read and write in English, and communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to stand on concrete for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to use stairs and operate in a warehouse/production environment with warm and cold weather exposure.
• Reliable transportation to the on-site location and a strong focus on regular, dependable attendance (exceptional attendance required).
• Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings, including drug and background screens; steel-toe over-the-ankle boots required. What's in it for me?
