Intramural Elementary Girls Basketball Coach

Assumes responsibility for the entire program which includes:

• Coaching the middle school program
• Implements district athletic department policies.
• Works with the MSD Athletic Director, Athletic Coordinator and Principal
• Communicating of game schedule.
• Communication of travel for out-of town trips.
• Verification of student physical examination/Family ID requirements of the high school.
• Remains with students and supervises them while traveling to away competitions.
• Cares for athletes and injured athletes.
• Cares for, maintains and oversees the storage of all equipment and uniforms.
• Maintains a positive staff relationship with other coaches.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the MSD Athletic Director/Athletic Coordinator and Principal.
• Communicates with players about personal development during the season as well as the off-season.
• Holds meetings with parents to inform them about the program as well as your expectations of them and the players.
• Leads by example regarding promotion of sportsmanship.
• Promotes the middle school program by encouraging participation of players of the upcoming season.
• Apply and enforce student discipline during athletic contests, practice sessions, and while on trips off school property in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.

Salary & Benefits information:

This is a stipend position, no benefits are associated, stipends are paid on a bi-weekly basis during your coaching assignment.
