Mākena Golf & Beach Club is seeking 4-5 seasonal culinary team members to support our Culinary Team during the festive season. This is a great opportunity for culinary students and individuals interested in hospitality to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.

Seasonal opportunities are available for Cook III and Prep Cook assignments. Placement will be based on experience, skill level, and operational needs.Cook III - What you’ll do:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and quality expectations
• Assist with daily mise en place and preparation for service
• Safely operate kitchen equipment and cooking tools
• Maintain proper food temperatures, storage, labeling, and rotation
• Support timely execution of food orders during service
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Work collaboratively with chefs and other culinary team members
• Assist with additional culinary responsibilities as needed during service

Prep Cook - What you’ll do:

• Wash, cut, portion, and prepare ingredients for daily production and service
• Assist with basic food preparation and recipe components
• Organize and stock prep stations and kitchen supplies
• Properly label, date, store, and rotate food products
• Maintain clean and organized preparation and storage areas
• Assist with kitchen setup, breakdown, and restocking
• Follow food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
• Support cooks and chefs with preparation needs throughout the shift
• Perform additional prep and kitchen duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

• Interest in culinary arts, food preparation, or hospitality
• Culinary education or previous kitchen experience preferred
• Dependable and willing to learn
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food quality
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
• Availability throughout the seasonal employment period, including weekends and holidays as needed
• This position requires extended periods of standing and may involve bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and performing other physical tasks commonly associated with a professional kitchen environment.
