Construction Site Manager Brooklyn, NY (field-based, covering the five boroughs) $100k-$140k

Overview:

A growing Brooklyn-based construction company is seeking a Construction Site Manager to oversee projects across the five boroughs. The ideal candidate has solid construction field experience, can read drawings, and is comfortable coordinating crews, materials and customer communication across multiple sites. They are looking for someone organized, proactive and dependable who can keep projects moving and address issues early. This new role reports directly to the owner and offers room to grow into leading the field team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of active construction sites across the five boroughs.
• Confirm crews are on site and working each morning.
• Visit new sites and regularly check progress at ongoing jobs.
• Oversee manpower, productivity and quality of work.
• Serve as the on-site contact for customers.
• Coordinate deliveries and ensure materials are ordered ahead of need.
• Read and work from construction drawings.
• Keep jobs on schedule and address issues early.
• Monitor compliance with DOB and building department requirements.
• Provide the owner with a daily report on all active jobs.

Qualifications:

• At least 1.5 years of solid construction field experience. Property management experience alone is not sufficient.
• Ability to read construction drawings and plans.
• Experience working with crews, customers and active job sites.
• Strong organization and the ability to manage multiple jobs at once.
• Availability for 7 AM phone check-ins, and occasional Sunday calls.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
