CNC Lathe Machinist

Mach3 Machine is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist & Setup Operator to join our custom machining team in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. In this role, you will perform complete setups, routine maintenance, and precision machining operations on large lathe equipment---including VTL (Vertical Turret Lathes), GNL Mills, Tri-Tools, and Hones. We are looking for a safety-focused CNC turning specialist experienced in working with steel and alloy materials to produce high-precision components to tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions

• Machine Setup & Operation: Perform full machine setups, tool changes, and operation of large manual and CNC equipment (including Niles-Simmons, Monarch, Leblond, VTLs, and GNL Mills) according to job specifications and blueprints.
• Precision Inspection: Use precision measuring instruments---including OD/ID micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators---to verify part dimensions and maintain strict quality standards.
• Daily Operations & Maintenance: Execute daily startup and end-of-day cleanup procedures. Perform routine weekly maintenance and preventative care to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to determine appropriate machining sequences and settings.
• Material Handling & Safety: Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move heavy steel and alloy raw materials and finished parts.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 3--5+ years of large precision CNC machining experience preferred; strong preference for candidates with large turning and heavy equipment experience.
• Technical Skills: Proven ability to read blueprints and BOMs; experience with G-code/M-code controls and precision measurement tools.
• Certifications & Equipment: Forklift and overhead crane experience required.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform bending, stooping, and reaching as required. Steel-toe boots and safety glasses are required.

Pay Range: $20.00 -- $45.00/hr + $5/hr shift differential, quarterly bonuses, and 100% Employee Ownership (ESOP)
