Lead Assembler ## Position Summary The Lead Assembler is responsible for daily execution of production operations , team coordination, and ensuring safety, quality, and output targets are consistently achieved. This role acts as the bridge between production staff and supervision . ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ## Detailed Responsibilities - Lead and coordinate daily production activities : - Assign workstations - Balance line workloads - Monitor real-time output - Ensure adherence to: - Safety standards - Quality requirements - Production schedules - Track and report production KPIs : - Output vs target - Downtime - Quality issues - Conduct on-the-floor training and coaching : - New hires - Skill development - Troubleshoot: - Workflow disruptions - Equipment issues (escalate as needed) - Staffing gaps - Drive continuous improvement initiatives : - Process flow improvements - Waste reduction - Support supervisors with: - Shift planning - Performance feedback - Disciplinary input (as needed) - Maintain strong communication across: - Production - Quality - Logistics ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ## Tools and Systems - Production tracking boards / KPIs - Work order systems - Standard work documentation - Lean tools (visual management, 5S audits) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ## KPIs / Performance Metrics - Team productivity vs plan - Quality performance (FPY, defects) - Safety incidents - Employee engagement and retention - On-time production delivery ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ## Leadership Expectations - Lead by example (safety, quality, work ethic) - Strong communication and accountability - Ability to manage pace and pressure - Team development mindset
