Original job description

Lyra Technology Group is a private equity-backed holding company that invests in and operates industry leading technology service businesses. Our companies are operated independently by exceptional management teams. Companies that join our group retain the employees, name, and culture that have made them successful. As a platform of Evergreen Services Group, we never divest from businesses we partner with and approach every decision with the goal of driving sustainable and healthy growth over the long term.

Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager wins new clients and new recurring revenue for Accellis. This is an individual contributor role focused on winning new clients; it does not manage a team. It is a true hunter role: you prospect, qualify, and close net-new business through direct outreach, networking, referrals, events, and consultative selling. Success is measured by new logos and recurring revenue growth.

What You'll Do

Win New Business

Find, prospect, and engage net-new opportunities; build and run your own territory plan.
Build pipeline through outbound calls, email campaigns, networking, referrals, and events.
Lead discovery meetings and assessments with business owners and executives.
Present, negotiate, and close managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, AI, and professional services engagements.
Partner with our technical and leadership teams throughout the sales cycle.

Own Your Pipeline

Keep opportunity and activity records accurate and current in HubSpot.
Deliver reliable pipeline updates and revenue forecasts.
Maintain enough active pipeline to hit annual recurring revenue targets.

Represent Accellis

Attend conferences, association meetings, and industry events; take part in company events and webinars.
Build referral partner relationships and strategic alliances.
Travel occasionally for events and client meetings (company paid).

What You Bring

At least 1 year of B2B sales experience selling services - such as managed services, IT services, or other recurring business services - with responsibility for winning new customers. Product or software-only sales experience does not meet this requirement.
A hunter mindset: comfortable cold calling and creating opportunities from scratch.
Proven outbound prospecting and full-cycle sales experience.
Clear, confident communication with executive-level decision-makers.
A disciplined, process-driven, consultative approach.
Experience with CRM and sales tools (HubSpot, ConnectWise, ZoomInfo, Apollo, or similar).
Drive to earn: you are motivated by measurable results and uncapped commission.
Ability to work from our Valley View office 2 days per week, including in-office onboarding.

Nice to Have

Experience selling managed IT or technology services; prior MSP experience.
Experience selling into legal, professional services, nonprofit, financial services, manufacturing, or healthcare.
An established Northeast Ohio network and community involvement.
Bachelor's degree and/or relevant technical certifications.

Compensation

Base: $65,000 - $90,000, based on qualifications and experience
Commission: uncapped
Target annual earnings: $129,000 - $200,000+
Additional incentives available based on company programs and performance

Early-career sellers with a strong record of winning new business are encouraged to apply.

Accellis is an equal opportunity employer.
