Job Title: Staff Accountant Location: Campbell, CA - hybrid Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000, plus bonus eligible

• CoreSuite 2.0: CoreSuite 2.0 is Lynx’s safety-critical GPU for graphics enablement framework designed for mission-critical edge computing systems. It provides hardware-accelerated graphics, visualization, and video processing capabilities that can be certified for high-assurance systems.
• Services: Lynx Services is Lynx’s professional services organization that helps customers design, integrate, certify, deploy, and maintain safety- and security-critical systems. It supports industries like aerospace, defense, automotive, and industrial computing through consulting, engineering, integration, and lifecycle support, reducing development risk and accelerating certification in standards-driven, mission-critical environment.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, Staff Accountant to join the Lynx finance team. While not required, prior experience with order entry, billing, contract management, AR analysis, revenue recognition, and process improvement is preferred. This individual will manage a low volume of transactions requiring significant attention to detail, including order entry, invoicing, revenue recognition, and cash collections. Working with the finance team, this individual will also help improve processes across Lynx and its subsidiaries in the government contracting and commercial sectors. This position offers growth opportunities, as this individual could grow to manage the sales tax and other compliance reporting over time. This role works closely with the Controller, Sr. Accounting Manager, and other colleagues across the organization to support business growth and potential future mergers and acquisitions. Additional hours are required on the last business day of each month to ensure all orders are processed.

Responsibilities:

The Staff Accountant duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Responsible for timely invoicing and purchase order processing for multiple entities · Able to support the evaluation and optimization for order-to-cash processes across multiple business models and entities · Month end reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts · Work cross-functionally to standardize procedures, drive process improvements, and streamline revenue accounting operations for four entities · Assist Sr. Accounting Manager and Sr. Staff Accountant with ensuring revenue recognition for four entities · Assist with timely reporting of internal revenue and invoicing metrics · Oversight of AR Process to ensure customer accounts remain current · Review customer contracts and purchase orders to ensure compliance · Monitor and review backlog with Professional Services team · Maintain customer portals and update customer certs & recs as needed · Support year-end audit process and interface with external auditors · Assist Sr. Accounting Manager with cost allocations and other close-related entries · Assist Controller and Sr. Accounting Manager with other projects as necessary

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Prior accounting and billing/invoicing experience a plus · Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or equivalent · Attention to detail is required · Understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition rules spanning software and services business models · Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills · Ability to work cross-functionally with other teams, several of which are in other offices · Experience with the following business applications is highly desirable: NetSuite, Salesforce, Customer portals, such as Exostar · Intermediate/advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel · Practical hands-on experience in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, and evolving business environment · Experience in software industry, professional services businesses or government subcontracts is preferred
