Warehouse Packer

Our client, a packaging and distribution company, is looking for Bilingual Packers to join their team in Columbus, OH. In this role, you will inspect, pack, and prepare plastic food packaging products according to order specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and understand daily order specifications and locate the correct products and quantities
• Inspect plastic packaging products for compliance with visual quality standards including defects such as web, holes, off trim, thin spots, contamination, angel hair, metal, shards, and warped product - zero tolerance for angel hair, metal, and shards
• Pack products accurately according to order specifications without compressing parts when placing them in boxes
• Count and measure correctly per order requirements and ensure boxes contain the correct quantities
• Make boxes for packaging, apply personal stamp, and move to tape machine
• Complete all production and activity documentation accurately
• Communicate with machine operators, supervisors, and quality control regarding machine or product quality concerns
• Repack product as necessary and relieve other employees during breaks and lunches
• Keep work area clean, organized, and sweep floor as needed
• Notify supervisor when machine is down for an extended period or when an order is complete
• Comply with all quality, safety, and food safety standards and procedures at all times

Requirements:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required
• Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions accurately
• Ability to correctly complete required production documentation
• Ability to work extended hours and a flexible schedule including Saturdays and occasional Sundays
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality and production goals
• Ability to perform physical production duties throughout the shift

Pay & Schedule:

• Pay Rate: $17.80 – $18.80 per hour (based on shift)
• 1st Shift: Monday through Saturday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: Monday through Saturday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: Monday through Saturday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Occasional Sundays as needed
• Multiple openings available
