Warehouse Associate

Our client, a third-party logistics company, is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Houston, TX. In this role, you will support shipping, receiving, and daily warehouse operations. Must have flexibility to work weekends, days, evenings, or nights based on freight volume.

Day to Day:

• Assist with shipping and receiving, including unloading trucks, checking merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing orders for processing
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to identify items to move, gather, distribute, or ship
• Keep the warehouse safe and accessible for employees and customers.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Assemble products and assist with inventory counts as needed
• Take check-in calls from drivers to confirm loads are on schedule
• Validate load information before marking deliveries complete for accounting purposes
• Monitor daily pickups and deliveries, verifying that loads arrive on time and in good condition

About You:

• Previous dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills
• Availability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, based on freight volume
• Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds
• Ability to load and unload trucks

Pay-Rate / Shift:

• $16.00 /hour
• Multiple Shifts Available
• Weekends may be required
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, or nights based on freight volume
