Package Handler

Our client, a leading global e-commerce logistics and fulfillment company, is looking for Package Handlers to join their team in Avenel, NJ. In this role, you will be on the front lines of the shipping and logistics process, ensuring customer orders and parcels are accurately sorted, scanned, and routed for delivery in a high-volume e-commerce warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately sort inbound and outbound parcels by zip code, route, or destination using manual sorting methods and RF scanning equipment
• Unload incoming trailers and load outbound trucks efficiently and safely ensuring packages are stacked securely to prevent damage during transit
• Build stable and secure pallets of sorted packages and stage them for transport or final loading
• Inspect packages for damage or incorrect labels and escalate issues to supervisors
• Follow all OSHA safety protocols, site-specific facility guidelines, and operational standards
• Work collaboratively with forklift operators, warehouse clerks, and supervisors to meet daily shipping and processing quotas

Requirements:

• Ability to repeatedly lift, push, pull, and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and twist for the duration of the shift in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to read and match numbers and zip codes quickly
• Prior warehouse, retail, or fast-food experience is a plus - entry-level candidates are welcome and will be trained
• Reliable transportation and a strong track record of punctuality and attendance

Pay & Schedule:

• Pay Rate: $19.00 – $19.50 per hour (based on shift)
• 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – Until finish
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – Until finish
• 3rd Shift: 7:00 PM – Until finish
• Schedule: Monday through Sunday with two days off during the week
• Overtime available
