Material Handler

Our client, a leading global provider of home goods, is seeking a Material Handler in Hagerstown, MD. In this role, you will assemble, pick, pack, sort, scan, return and/or dispatch merchandise.

Day-to-Day:

• Unload incoming deliveries and verify materials against packing lists
• Inspect received goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies
• Transport materials, parts, and finished products to designated storage or production areas
• Pull inventory to fulfill work orders, production needs, or customer shipments
• Use of RF scanners
• Utilize mathematical software engines
• Palletizing
• May perform basic quality control checks to ensure merchandise is properly packaged

About You:

• High School or equivalent education
• 0 - 2 years experience in a distribution center
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand on feet all day picking product
• Must be able to pull a cart and/or climb a step ladder when needed
• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, pull, and push for extended periods
• Must be able to listen and communicate effectively

Pay-Rate / Shift:

• $18.00 - $20.00 / hour
• Monday to Friday
• 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with overtime
