Machine Operator

Our client, a manufacturing company, is looking for a Machine Operator to join their team in Fullerton, CA. In this role, you will operate industrial horizontal band saws to cut metal materials to precise specifications while maintaining accuracy, production quality, and strict safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate horizontal band saw machines to cut various types and sizes of metal materials
• Set up, adjust, and program machines according to work orders and cutting specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and measurement instructions
• Measure and inspect materials using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools
• Select appropriate blades, cutting speeds, and machine settings based on material type and thickness
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed to ensure accurate cuts
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot basic equipment issues
• Inspect finished materials for accuracy, quality, and proper dimensions
• Safely handle, move, and position metal materials using appropriate equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating horizontal band saw machines or comparable sheet metal cutting experience
• Experience with Hyd-Mech, HEM, DoALL, Behringer, or comparable equipment preferred
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, measurements, and basic blueprints
• Strong understanding of metal cutting operations and machine setup
• Familiarity with measuring tools including tape measures and calipers
• Ability to perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshoot operational issues
• Metal fabrication or processing experience preferred, including cutting steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
• Knowledge of blade selection, feed rates, and cutting speeds preferred
• Comfortable working around heavy machinery, noise, and metal dust while wearing required PPE

Pay & Schedule:

• Pay Rate: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour (based on experience)
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
