Construction Worker

Our client, an industrial real estate company, is looking for a Construction Worker in Charleston, SC. In this role, you will perform a variety of renovation, light construction, and general maintenance tasks, including demolition, drywall repair, painting, minor plumbing, and furniture assembly, while operating hand and power tools, handling materials, and assisting with warehouse operations such as loading, unloading, and moving equipment.

Day to Day:

• Perform various renovation, light construction, and general maintenance duties.
• Assist with light demolition, drywall sanding, painting, and minor repairs.
• Install and replace door locks and hardware as needed.
• Operate hand and power tools, including hammer drills, grinders, and saws.
• Disassemble, move, and reassemble metal panels throughout the warehouse.
• Assist with assembling and installing office cubicles and other fixtures.
• Load, unload, and move materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Remove old piping and assist with light plumbing tasks as needed.
• Perform general custodial duties to maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Assist with material handling and warehouse organization.
• Follow all safety procedures when operating tools and handling materials.
• Perform additional construction, maintenance, and warehouse duties as assigned.

About You:

• Previous experience in construction, renovation, or general maintenance required.
• Experience operating hand and power tools, including drills, grinders, and saws.
• General handyman skills with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and proper tool handling.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and basic problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, standing, and moving materials.

Pay-Rate / Shift:

• $19.00 /hour
• Monday - Friday
• 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Must be flexible for OT when needed)
