In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to support production, meet customer demand, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will lead strategies and initiatives that achieve or exceed Ketra’s Fill Rate (FR) and Execution to Demand (ETD) targets while driving operational efficiency, optimizing inventory, and strengthening overall supply chain performance. You will oversee the full spectrum of materials management, including supply chain design, SAP/ERP systems and planning parameters, production planning, procurement, receiving, warehousing, inventory control, logistics, trade compliance, and shipping. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by developing a high-performing team, advancing continuous improvement, and ensuring reliable, on-time delivery in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce waste, resolve material constraints, and enhance overall operational performance.
- Establish departmental goals and objectives that strengthen teamwork, build technical capabilities, improve cross-functional collaboration, and ensure effective training, succession planning, and job coverage.
- Ensure effective utilization of SAP/ERP systems, including planning parameters, material master data, and system-driven processes, to improve planning accuracy, inventory integrity, and supply chain execution.
- Develop and execute lean inventory strategies that balance inventory investment, material availability, working capital, and production effectiveness while achieving established inventory targets.
- Establish, implement, and audit material planning, purchasing, warehousing, and logistics processes to ensure operational consistency, process compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Develop, manage, and monitor annual capital and operating expense budgets for materials management, ensuring responsible resource allocation and cost control.
- Develop and execute material planning strategies and tactical purchasing activities to ensure material availability, optimize supply continuity, and support production and customer demand.
- Lead accurate, timely, and effective supply chain planning, purchasing, production scheduling, material prioritization, warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics to consistently meet or exceed Ketra’s FR and ETD targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
- 12+ years of professional experience post academics with experience in manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, materials, inventory control, or related operations.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience, including coaching, development, and performance management.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP/ERP systems, with SAP proficiency preferred.
- Experience supporting low-volume/high-mix and high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Practical knowledge of production planning, purchasing, warehouse receiving and shipping, inventory control, and ERP-based planning systems.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated hands-on supply chain expertise, including material planning, procurement, inventory optimization, and logistics.
- Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience preferred; certification is a plus.
- Professional certification, such as APICS CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) or a relevant ERP/materials management certification, is preferred.
