Phlebotomist Laboratory - 1st Shift (Part time)

Under the general supervision, Phlebotomist performs all types of phlebotomy, including venipuncture and capillary blood procurement procedures in patient care areas and the Laboratory Drawing Rooms. The accurate performance of patient blood procurement along with the accurate clerical maintenance of sectional result records influences the quality assurance of laboratory testing within the section. Accurate clinical laboratory testing is diagnostically important as it affects the physician's ability to formulate, initiate, and monitor effective medical treatment. The quality of treatment and care rendered to hospital patients is of paramount importance. The duties performed by hospital staff in this position will demonstrate what is best for the patient as well as promote development of an awareness and cooperation reflecting the interrelationship of departments in caring, comforting and healing the sick and injured.
