As a Toddler Teacher, you will play an important role in supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development while providing a safe and loving environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement fun, engaging, and age-appropriate learning activities that support early childhood development.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom environment where children feel comfortable and supported.
  • Encourage children's social, emotional, language, and motor skill development through daily activities and play.
  • Use positive guidance and effective classroom management techniques to support children's behavior.
  • Assist children with daily routines, including diapering, potty training, meals, handwashing, and nap time.
  • Observe and document children's developmental progress and milestones.
  • Build positive relationships with families and maintain open, professional communication.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and administration to ensure a successful classroom environment.
  • Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and proper sanitation procedures.
  • Follow all Michigan childcare licensing rules, center policies, and health and safety procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

• CDA certification, early childhood education coursework, or previous experience working in a licensed childcare setting preferred.

  • Experience working with toddlers is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills with children, families, and coworkers.
  • Must be patient, dependable, energetic, and passionate about working with young children.
  • Must meet Michigan childcare licensing and background check requirements.
  • Must be willing to complete all required childcare training and certifications.
  • Must have reliable transportation and consistent attendance.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for more than someone who simply enjoys working with children. We want a teacher who is reliable, takes initiative, communicates effectively, and is committed to providing quality childcare and early education.

Our ideal candidate understands that working with toddlers (ages 1 1/2 -3 years old) requires patience, flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to maintain a structured yet loving classroom environment.

If you're passionate about early childhood education and ready to make a positive impact on our littlest learners, we'd love to hear from you!
