Lightmatter is (re)inventing the future of computing with light!
Lightmatter's Supply Chain Operations team designs and executes the complex, global manufacturing networks required to build our world-first photonic engines at scale. We partner seamlessly with critical component vendors and Tier-1 manufacturing partners to deliver a resilient, cost-effective, and rapid flow of cutting-edge hardware.
As a Global Supply Manager (GSM), you will serve as the commercial lead owning strategic sourcing, supplier governance, pricing negotiations, and commercial contracts across our critical manufacturing ecosystem. Operating at the intersection of technical innovation and business strategy, your mandate is to build a resilient, scalable supply network across OSATs and Tier-1 Contract Manufacturers. In this role, you will lead Master Supply Agreement (MSA) negotiations, establish yield-adjusted should-cost models, secure manufacturing capacity allocations, and partner with Operations Program Managers to ensure long-term supply assurance.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the commercial domain expert owning strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and long-term supplier relationships across our critical manufacturing partners.
- Build a resilient material supply chain by securing capacity and driving supplier performance across OSATs and Tier-1 Contract Manufacturers to support the scaling of our product families.
- Proactively mitigate supply chain risks by identifying and qualifying secondary sources, securing material allocations, and establishing robust continuity plans across our manufacturing network.
- Lead commercial engagements, vendor selection, and commercial terms for advanced packaging, assembly, and testing lines, partnering closely with Operations Program Managers.
- Draft, negotiate, and execute Master Supply Agreements, pricing matrices, lead-time guarantees, and volume supply contracts.
- Optimize Total Cost of Ownership by developing yield-adjusted should-cost models and clean-sheet breakdowns, while standardizing CapEx requirements and identifying strategic opportunities for equipment optimization across manufacturing partners.
- Drive supplier performance, enforce service level agreements, and maintain strategic alignment by leading Quarterly Business Reviews with OSATs and Contract Manufacturers.
- Partner with internal engineering, operations, and finance teams to align vendor allocations with technical specifications and budget targets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a business, supply chain, engineering, or related quantitative field, complemented by relevant commercial experience.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Global Supply Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Direct Procurement managing complex hardware supply chains and partner relationships.
- Proven track record sourcing and negotiating complex commercial agreements, Term Sheets, and contracts with Tier-1 Contract Manufacturers or OSATs.
- Demonstrated proficiency in should-cost modeling, structured negotiations, and managing multimillion-dollar hardware spend.
- Strong executive presence and business acumen to drive cross-functional alignment and enforce supplier accountability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Direct experience managing NPI operational readiness, CapEx negotiations, and supply chain continuity initiatives for complex hardware programs.
- Domain familiarity with semiconductor packaging, electro-optical systems, or advanced hardware manufacturing flows.
