Ramsey, MN | Full-Time | starting pay $23.00 per hour

Weekend Shift Friday thru Sunday 5am-5:30pm

What You'll Do

As a Laser Operator, you'll set up and operate laser equipment to produce high-quality metal parts. You'll work with raw steel, computer-controlled equipment, and production drawings to make sure parts are produced safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Your day will include:

Set up and operate laser machinery using setup sheets, Kanban cards, and work instructions

Operate the laser computer and adjust machine settings as needed

Load raw steel and unload finished parts

Inspect materials and finished parts for quality

Count parts and verify quantities are accurate

Label completed jobs with the required production information

Report material shortages, quality concerns, and equipment problems to the Lead or Supervisor

Complete daily equipment checks and preventive maintenance logs

Complete required production and quality paperwork

Safely operate a hoist and manual pallet jack

Assist with steel room operations as needed

What We're Looking For

You don't have to know everything on day one. We're looking for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, mechanically inclined, and willing to learn.

You'll need:

Manufacturing experience, preferably in metal fabrication or laser operation

Mechanical aptitude and an interest in how machines work

Basic math skills

Ability to read a tape measure, blueprints, and process sheets in standard and metric measurements

Basic computer skills

Ability to communicate effectively in English

High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements

This is an active manufacturing position. You'll spend much of your shift standing and moving around the department.

You should be able to:

Frequently lift up to 30 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Stand and walk for extended periods

Reach overhead, climb stairs, bend, stoop, and grasp tools and materials

Operate a hoist and manual pallet jack

Successfully complete a comprehensive vision examination required for the position

Your base wage will be between $23.00 - $27.88 per hour and includes eligibility for overtime. The actual wage offer will be based on qualifications, experience, location, and other relevant factors.
