Sanitation Supervisor | FDA-Regulated Manufacturing
Valencia, California | Onsite
Base salary: $75,000–$90,000 per year
Lief Labs is a premier formulation, product development, and manufacturing partner for leading dietary supplement brands. Our world-class R&D and Product Development teams create innovative, great-tasting formulations, while our state-of-the-art cGMP manufacturing facility delivers scalable, turnkey solutions that help entrepreneurial companies build and grow successful brands.
About the Role
Lead how we ensure quality sanitation. Protect product quality. Improve how sanitation gets done. Bring your hands-on leadership to an FDA-regulated dietary supplement manufacturing environment, where you will coach sanitation employees, solve operational challenges, and help keep production clean, ready, and inspection-ready. Reporting to the Director of Product Development and Compliance, you will partner with Quality, Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse to deliver consistent results without compromising quality or safety.
Your Impact
- Lead daily sanitation activities, staffing, training, and changeover coordination across manufacturing areas and equipment.
- Execute approved SOPs and the Master Sanitation Schedule in alignment with applicable 21 CFR Part 111 cGMP requirements; maintain accurate, timely, inspection-ready records.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections and line-clearance checks; coordinate required sanitation verification, corrective cleaning, and readiness for use under approved procedures and designated Quality approval authority.
- Oversee safe chemical handling, allergen controls, and contamination prevention; escalate deviations and support investigations, corrective and preventive actions, and audits.
- Use sanitation performance trends to improve cleaning effectiveness and turnaround times.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required; related technical training, coursework, or an associate degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of manufacturing experience in dietary supplements, food, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, or another cGMP-regulated environment preferred; 1–2 years of supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of cGMPs, sanitation SOPs and schedules, equipment cleaning, and changeovers; experience with chemical handling, PPE, allergen controls, pre-operational inspections, and sanitation verification.
- Basic proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic documentation systems. FDA or third-party audit support experience preferred; bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
Why Join Us
- This is a chance to step into a visible quality leadership role where your work directly supports product integrity, operational excellence, and team success. You will have the opportunity to strengthen quality systems, influence cross-functional processes, develop talent, and help shape a culture where compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement are part of everyday work.
Schedule, Compensation, and Work Environment
Flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or off-shifts, may be needed.
The anticipated base salary is $75,000–$90,000 per year; the offer within this range depends on relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and internal equity.
Essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation, include standing for approximately 8 hours, occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 pounds, bending, crawling, sitting, communicating, moving throughout the facility, and performing visual inspection tasks. Work may involve restricted spaces, difficult lighting or access, wet or slippery floors, and cleaning chemicals; required PPE and safety equipment must be used, with appropriate support equipment for heavier loads.
Ready to bring hands-on leadership and a continuous-improvement mindset to sanitation? Apply for the Sanitation Supervisor role.
