Quality Assurance Inspector
Valencia, CA | Hourly | $22.31–$24.52 per hour | 1st Shift
Every bottle, capsule, and tablet that leaves our floor carries a brand’s promise to the people who trust it. As a Quality Assurance Inspector at Lief Labs, you are the one who makes sure that promise is kept.
Lief Labs is a premier formulation, product development, and manufacturing partner for leading dietary supplement brands. Our state-of-the-art cGMP facility helps entrepreneurial companies build and grow successful brands, and our Quality team is at the heart of that success. This is a hands-on, on-your-feet role where your sharp eye and attention to detail make a difference every single shift.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Real impact: Your inspections protect product safety and the reputation of the brands we serve.
- Great hourly pay: $22.31–$24.52 per hour, based on your experience, skills, education, and training.
- An early-bird schedule: 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 5:00 am – 1:30 pm (weekends as needed), so your afternoons are your own.
- A strong benefits package: Medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) with company participation, PTO, and more.
- Room to grow: An education reimbursement program supports your next step.
- A team that works together: You’ll partner every day with Manufacturing, Packaging, Warehouse, and Laboratory teams.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect products in-process as they move through weighing, blending, encapsulation, tableting, packaging, and labeling.
- Verify raw materials, components, labels, and packaging before they’re used.
- Conduct line clearances at startup and after changeovers so every run starts clean.
- Review batch records for accuracy and completeness and confirm SOPs and cGMP requirements are followed.
- Check equipment cleanliness and sanitation, including ATP/swab requirements when applicable.
- Spot, document, and report deviations and nonconformances, and help investigate and resolve them through CAPA activities.
- Support complaint investigations, internal audits, and regulatory inspections.
What You Bring
- A high school diploma or equivalent (an associate or bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field is a plus).
- Experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or manufacturing in a dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, food, or other cGMP-regulated environment (preferred).
- Knowledge of cGMP and FDA regulations, ideally 21 CFR Part 111, and comfort with batch records, SOPs, and Good Documentation Practices.
- A sharp eye for detail and the confidence to speak up when something isn’t right.
- Clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently and with teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
The Work Environment
This is an active, on-site role. You’ll be on your feet and moving through manufacturing, warehouse, and production areas, and you’ll need to be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. You’ll wear required PPE (such as hair nets, beard covers, gloves, safety glasses, and lab coats) and work around bulk powders and raw materials, including common allergens, with exposure to dust, noise, odors, and varying temperatures. No travel is required.
Pay & Benefits
